Key Responsibilities

  • Support production teams across unit operations for plasma-derived medicinal products.
  • Perform equipment preparation and basic maintenance; assist with sampling and in-process quality checks.
  • Complete documentation in line with SOPs; follow cleanroom and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to SHE requirements (mandatory training, PPE usage, compliance with site rules).
  • Work rostered shifts (12-hour or 8-hour patterns), including evenings, weekends, and public holidays; overtime as needed.

Eligibility Criteria

  • South African citizen, 18–34 years old; currently unemployed and not studying full-time.
  • Matric (Grade 12) with at least a D in English, Mathematics, Science, and Biology.
  • No more than 2 years of work experience and no prior YES participation.
  • PAT Basic/Post-Basic (advantageous) or tertiary studies in Engineering/Life Sciences (advantageous).
  • Medically fit; willing to work shifts and use required PPE due to hazardous/biologically active chemicals.
