Job Description:

The learnership is designed to offer individuals with disabilities an opportunity to learn and gain practical experience in fibre-related activities while fostering a love for agriculture. Successful candidates will be enrolled in a 12-month learnership program focusing on Business Practice NQF 1. This program includes both theory classes and hands-on fibre training.

As per regulations, a stipend will be provided to learners throughout the program. To apply for this learnership, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Unemployed South African citizens.
  • Aged between 18 and 29 years.
  • Grade 10 qualification.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Not previously completed the SAQA 61775 qualification or currently registered for another learnership or studying.
  • Willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks and ability to stand for long hours.
  • Disability and/or impairment certification through a medical report.

List of Disabilities Considered:

This learnership welcomes individuals with various disabilities and impairments. The following disabilities are among those that will be considered:

  • Visual impairments, including blurred vision, blindness in one eye, and color blindness.
  • Hearing impairments, such as tinnitus and hearing loss in one ear.
  • Mobility impairments, including arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and type 1 diabetes.
  • Mental health and emotional impairments include bipolar disorder, severe depression, anxiety disorder, eating disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Ability to Commute:

Candidates should have the ability to commute to the designated training location.
