What They Offer
The successful person will receive remuneration according to the SEIFSA Main Agreement Apprenticeship pay scales.
The job requires the applicant to be contracted as a manufacturing and engineering apprentice for the duration of the training programme. However, there is no obligation to employ permanently after completion of the programme.
Requirements
The applicant must have a minimum requirement of Technical Grade 12/Matric or N2 and should have copies of relevant qualifications to accompany the application. The applicant must show a working understanding of safety and environmental standards and commitment to uphold them.
Completing a set of technical test batteries with an appropriate outcome scoring is important in getting acceptance into the Apprenticeship Programme. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking for an entry-level job or learnership.
Skills and Criteria
The ideal applicant must have analytical and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be a diligent worker with a keen eye for detail. The applicant should also be able to work under close supervision from qualified artisans.
