Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day stores operations in a manufacturing environment under the guidance of the Stores Team Leader.
  • Assist with inventory administration and control activities aligned to operational requirements.
  • Capture, update, and maintain stores-related records using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Contribute to effective coordination of materials movement within the stores function.
  • Assist with compliance to internal processes, recordkeeping standards, and housekeeping expectations.
  • Participate in practical learning activities and apply theoretical knowledge to operational tasks.
  • Where applicable, support the use and understanding of stores-related ERP systems (beneficial but not required).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (minimum 40%)
  • Two South African languages passed (minimum 40%)
  • Currently studying toward one of the following fields:
    • Logistics Management
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Operations Management
    • Inventory Management
    • Production Management
    • Industrial Engineering
  • Completed theoretical modules and require practical workplace exposure to complete the qualification
  • Must be willing to complete In-Service / Experiential Training in industry
  • Must not have previously completed an in-service trainee programme at another organisation
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be an Employment Equity candidate
  • Must be unemployed at the time of appointment
  • Must be 18–35 years old
  • Must have a letter from the institution requesting workplace experience to complete the qualification
