Eligibility Criteria
Education and Experience:
- Essential: Grade 12
- Desirable: Maths (50%) and English (50%) at Grade 12 level
- Desirable: Customer-facing role in retail/FMCG
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently execute all POS operational activities in a timely manner.
- Maintain high accuracy in scanning merchandise and processing payments, including clubcard rewards.
- Ensure safe cash handling at all times.
- Actively promote and enroll new Clicks clubcard members to achieve participation targets.
- Inform customers about promotions to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.
- Deliver superior customer service by being a visible and professional brand ambassador.
- Maintain merchandising and general housekeeping according to store standards.
- Stay updated on products, promotions, and events to provide accurate customer information.
Required Skills & Competencies
Skills: The role requires basic math skills, a background in retail/FMCG (with an understanding of merchandising and promotions), stock management procedures, and a focus on customer service excellence.
Essential: Key abilities include planning and organizing, problem-solving, and a strong customer orientation. Good communication and numeracy skills, as well as computer literacy, are essential.
Competencies: Essential competencies include the ability to relate and network, follow instructions, and deliver results. Desirable competencies include working well with people, persuading and influencing others, and handling pressure effectively.
