Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured on-the-job training within the chosen trade.
  • Attend required theoretical and practical training sessions.
  • Comply with workplace rules, safety standards, and programme requirements.
  • Demonstrate commitment, discipline, and willingness to learn throughout the apprenticeship period.

  • Genuine interest in becoming a qualified artisan.
  • Commitment to completing the full apprenticeship programme.
  • Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team environment.
  • High level of honesty and accountability.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Unemployed South African youth.
  • One of the following qualifications:
    • Technical Matric, or
    • NCV Level 4, or
    • N2 certificate
  • Qualification must include Mathematics, Science, and relevant trade theory.
  • No previous trade certificate in the same field applied for.
  • Preference may be given to:
    • Women
    • Persons with disabilities
    • Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds
