Cashbuild is looking for a customer-focused individual to join their team as a Cashier. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate processing of Point of Sale (POS) transactions, ensuring all stock is paid for, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

- Key Exposure:

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately handle all POS transactions and ensure proper documentation
- Verify that no goods or stock pass through the POS without being paid for
- Manage cash handling tasks, including balancing floats and petty cash
- Ensure correct identification and capture of goods on the POS terminal
- Maintain sufficient change at all times and perform accurate cash-ups at the end of each shift
- Report damaged stock and any discrepancies to the Store Manager
- Compile, sign, and file all relevant administrative documentation
- Adhere to safety (OHSA) requirements and security protocols
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service to customers during transactions
- Resolve customer enquiries and direct them to the appropriate personnel as necessary
Eligibility & Requirements
- Minimum qualification of Grade 12 or one (1) year of work-related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language
- Competence in performing basic calculations accurately
- Strong administration skills
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality customer service
