This is an entry-level support role focused on logging and resolving day-to-day IT incidents and service requests for internal users across stores, distribution centres, and head office functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Man the Service Desk telephone lines and respond promptly to user requests.
  • Log incidents and service requests on the IT service desk system and route to the correct resource.
  • Provide first-line support to Head Office and store users across hardware, software, and business systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues (e.g., printers, tills, scanners, pricing, network connectivity).
  • Monitor incident progress to ensure service levels are met and escalate when required.
  • Liaise with stores and suppliers to support timely resolution of IT issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken.
  • Share knowledge and support colleagues to improve team delivery.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Matric (Grade 12) plus basic IT-related certification or coursework (e.g., CompTIA A+ / N+ or equivalent).
  • 0–6 months’ experience in an IT support/service desk environment (graduates welcome).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with retail or POS systems is advantageous (not essential).
