Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with inspecting heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Support basic troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Help remove and install components in the workshop or at customer sites.
  • Assist with ordering parts as required.
  • Support technicians with administrative tasks including service reports, labour bookings, parts returned, and expenses.
  • Contribute to compiling customer machine analyses and Machine Inspection Reports (MIR).
  • Perform general duties including housekeeping and customer support.

Attributes Required

  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work under supervision.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake hands-on mechanical tasks.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Grade 12 / N3 with:
    • Pure Mathematics (minimum 45%)
    • English (minimum 45%)
    • Physical Science (minimum 45%)
  • N2 / N3 theory in Motor/Diesel or Electrical/Electronic fields (advantage).
  • Technicians for the World certificate (advantage).
  • Minimum Code B Learner’s Licence (advantage).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
