What is ABInBev?

Anheuser-Busch InBev, also referred to as AB InBev, is a multinational brewing and beverage corporation with its corporate headquarters in Belgium.

The basic objective of AB InBev is to create brands and brew beer that will unite people for millennia. Many beers, both locally and nationally, are produced by AB InBev, which takes pleasure in its 500+ beer brands.

Aguila, Hero, Becks, Jupiler, Brahama, Leffe, Budweiser, Cass, Modelo, Corona, Patagonia, Victoria, Eagle, and Wals Brut are just a few of the alcoholic beverages made by AB InBev.

What is This Apprenticeship?

Candidates who are eager to undergo training to qualify as tradesmen and develop knowledge and experience as an artisan in the chosen trade are invited to apply for three Millwright apprenticeship positions at AB InBev’s Prospecton Brewery.

This apprenticeship will last for 3 to 4 years and will require candidates to carry out specific duties such as:

  • Maintain a secure and healthy workplace.
  • Adhering to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Uphold a secure and orderly workplace.
  • Obtain instruction, knowledge, and experience.
  • Locating the necessary systems, equipment, documentation, and spare parts.
  • Creating a plan, a budget, and getting ready for work.
  • Analyze, fix, and maintain breakdowns.
  • Improve (optimize) systems, machinery, and plants continuously.
  • Technological expertise related to machines.

Requirements

Please make sure you meet ALL of the following minimum entrance requirements before submitting your application because if you don’t, your application will be rejected:

  • Matriculation or grade twelve, with mathematics and science as required subjects
  • A National Technical certificate must be earned (N4)
  • A higher degree in the pertinent engineering discipline (N5 or N6) is advantageous.
  • Engineering aptitude is required
  • Must be able to collaborate well in groups (team player)
  • Independent working ability and self-motivation are requirements
  • Must have the ability to coach Must be action-oriented Must be mentally attentive Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented Must possess conceptual abilities
  • Must be driven to develop one’s skills and abilities
  • Be in good physical condition
  • Must have healthy eyesight and not be colorblind
  • Ability to maintain flexible working arrangements (able to do shift work, overtime)
  • Must be prepared to travel to Johannesburg for training sessions
